报告人简介:
Mario Pulvirenti received his degree in Physics, cum laude, Dec 19, 1970 l’Universita’ di Roma La Sapienza. He became a full professor of Mechanics and Mathematical Physics at Dept. of Math. Of Universita’ di Roma La Sapienza since 1990, up to October 2016. And now he acts as a Professor Emeritus at l’ Universita’ di Roma La Sapienza. His research activities mainly are oriented towards statistical mechanics (rigorous approaches), fluid mechanics, kinetic theory. He was invited speaker at ICM 2006 (Madrid) and gave H. Grad lecture at 29th International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics in Xi’an, China 2014. He was a winner of the Tartufari Prize of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei in 2006. He became a member of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei since 2008. He has published two books.
摘要:
The evolution of a large system of identical particles cannot be handled in terms of the Newton equation of motion in practice. The macroscopic behavior of such a system is often described in terms of more handable kinetic equations, like the Boltzmann or Landau equations. From a mathematical view point these more effective equations can indeed be derived under suitable scaling limits. This procedure is delicate. For instance, there is a transition from a time reversible system to an irreversible one. In this conference I present some mathematical results in this direction.
