After studying at Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris in the late 80s, L. Desvillettes became assistant professor in the same establishment, and later professor in the 90s, first at Université d'Orléans, then at Ecole Normale Supérieure in Cachan, and finally at Université de Paris.
摘要:
Collisions between charged particles in plasmas are modeled by Landau's equation. This equation inherits an entropy structure from the Boltzmann equation, with which it is linked. Thanks to this structure, it is possible to obtain regularity estimates for the solutions of Landau's equation, as well as estimates for their large time behavior.
